"Friends of Camperdown House" was formed in 1998 with the intention that it should be mainly concerned with the restoration of Camperdown House and keeping alive the name of Admiral Duncan, his history and his achievements.

This fascinating history of Camperdown House is told through the eyes of David Taylor, Head Forester to the 1st Earl of Camperdown. Taylor, renowned for his design of the Camperdown landscape and his discovery of the unique and unusual Camperdown Elm, leads us through the last 200 years unearthing some of the amazing and little known facts of life on the estate, its unique architecture and its fine specimen trees.
